The European wildcat (Felis silvestris silvestris) is the only wild feline with a confirmed presence within Greece. This is a small animal, weighing 3-6 kg, with a wide distribution in Europe, ranging from Sicily to Scotland, and from Portugal to the Caucasus. Unfortunately, many local wildcat populations are shrinking or completely disappearing, especially in southern Europe, with humans being the primary threat to them. Therefore, this project aims to contribute to the understanding of wildcat ecology, with a higher goal of conserving it.
